“One of the hardest decisions that we had to make as a family was realizing that our mother should not be driving or living alone so far from family. The challenge was to find a place that would allow her the feeling of independence and yet have the amenities and services that she would need as she continues to advance in years and challenges. After meeting the staff and seeing the facilities, our family knew that Oakmonte was the right choice for our mother.
Our biggest concern after making the decision to move her, was how well would she adjust to her new living environment. It was an unfounded concern since the staff and fellow residents were warm, open, kind and more than supportive during the transition to her new life at Oakmonte.
She quickly made friends who are sharing the same life changes as she is. Now she looks forward each day to seeing her new friends at meals and other social events.
Before moving, we worried about mom’s compromised nutrition. She simply was not eating regular balance meals and it was taking its toll. Mom repeatedly mentions how good the food is and rarely misses a meal!
The facility is well-maintained and kept very clean to make it a wonderful place to live. As a family we are very pleased with the extraordinarily warm and caring staff in order for Oakmonte to provide not just a place to live but a place that that our mother now calls her home.
Oakmonte was definitely the right place for our mother- we only wish we could have convinced to move years ago!

The entire staff has been warm, accommodating and loving every day of the week and every minute of the day. It is extremely comforting for family members to know that there is no place in the world that would provide our mother with more affection and attention. The staff go out of their way daily to meet the needs of their residents- emotional, physical and spiritual. From the moment you enter Oakmonte with a warm greeting and a beautiful lobby, you know that you are someplace very special. The staff know my mom well and they know her family members- all of them. When we travel, we rest assured that my mother is secure, and well cared for and in the presence of “family” who love her.

The staff member are all very friendly, courteous and helpful.
What I find the most gratifying aspect of living here is that I now have many friends in my own age group with a diverse background.
